Leigh oversees menu development, business operations, and team growth. A finalist in numerous prestigious chef competitions, Leigh’s impressive background includes an Acorn Award, 3 AA Rosettes, and recognition in the Michelin Guide. Having grown up in a family-run pub and nearly becoming a stone mason, when not in the kitchen, Leigh now enjoys a touch football with his 7-year-old son, partner, and French bulldog.

Ben Tuff

Head Chef (The Wheatsheaf)

Ben leads the kitchen team, ensuring quality and consistency, while creating dishes with Leigh and inspiring junior chefs. He earned 2 AA Rosettes as a head chef and holds a degree in politics. Ben stays current with hospitality trends, plays football, and spends time with his family when not at The Wheatsheaf.

Adrian Gott

Founder

As CEO of Artisan Innkeepers, Adrian oversees the strategic growth and direction of our collection of English country pubs. With a focus on delivering quality experiences and fostering strong community connections, he ensures each venue stays true to its roots while driving innovation. His leadership is key to maintaining operational excellence across the group, blending his love of traditional British hospitality with modern management to create a welcoming atmosphere in every pub.

Alex Jordan

Landlady (The Wheatsheaf)

Alex has been a key part of The Wheatsheaf for two years, enjoying connecting with locals and witnessing the pub’s growth. A local native and Chilton Foliat Primary alumna, Alex holds a Music degree from the University of Westminster and boasts nearly 15 years in hospitality. She loves pisco sours, Sicilian Fiano wine, and often sings Taylor Swift songs!
